About Ocean
I'm a somatic explorer, and I work at interface between what the body experiences and what we understand about ourselves. We were born as sensing creatures, skin filled with touch receptors, and nervous systems built to learn how to respond to the world.
I find it endlessly fascinating that this capacity, so fundamental to being alive, is so easy to lose touch with.
Our sense of possibility can narrow so quietly we don't notice it happening. What I've found, and keep finding, is that the body is where we can start to widen it again. In how we move, in what we feel, in what we allow ourselves to express and want and reach for. I'm dedicated to creating experiences where widening our sense of possibility becomes possible.
Reviews
“It’s not efforting, but an invitation for ease. With embodied practice, it was like coming home. The answers are already there, it’s just kind of turning toward.”Jennifer W.
“It’s gentle, spacious, and somehow both grounding and liberating at once. The restoration I feel afterwards isn’t something I’ve been able to find in more structured movement practices or in stillness-based restorative practices.”Will G.
“I know I should be doing these practices, but apparently needed someone guiding me live in order to actually do them.”Anonymous
“My body felt as relaxed afterwards as if I had done an hour of full-on yoga. It helped me understand that less can be more.”Erika K.
“I was surprised by how the different prompts changed the way I moved and helped me tap into something new.”Alyssa L.
“This space has helped me appreciate my body more. I have more gratitude for this wonderful vessel I’m in.”Priti K.
